Yes. The minimum weight is 20kg. Maximum weight is 110kg. Minimum height is 100cm. Minimum age is 4 given proper height and weight compliance.

5. What makes Flying Squirrels different?
Would you rather go from zip line A to zip line B or instead, fly through a thrilling course that combines ziplines with challenging obstacles like Thailand’s only treetop canopy bicycle ride, climbing nets, rope bridges, rappelling lines, a gigantic slide, and more? Our customers agree that Flying Squirrels is the most action-packed zipline adventure ANYWHERE.

6. Why are we called Flying Squirrels?
Our incredibly high and long zip lines are designed to recreate the flying experience of real flying squirrels gliding from tree to tree through the jungle forest. Furthermore, an important part of Flying Squirrels’ mission is to protect, conserve and promote the wellbeing of Thailand's great forests and wildlife.

7. Why should I choose Flying Squirrels over other zip line tours?
Simple. Unlike other tours where you only dangle from cables, Flying Squirrels offers a VARIETY of progressive activities that virtually everyone can enjoy. You choose the level of challenge for balance, coordination and concentration and test skills which teach individuals, groups and teams about conquering fears and achieving a deeper understanding of ourselves and others. There is a lot more to Flying Squirrels than exciting fun and adventure.

8. I kind of have a fear of heights. OK I'm a big chicken. Should I do this?
Seize the day! This is one of those unique opportunities of a lifetime to face and overcome your fears! Pairs of highly-trained and experienced Flight Officers will be with you every step of the way to chill you out while ensuring your safety. The moment you finish your first zip line, the only thoughts filling your head will be ones of achievement and FUN.

9. Is it safe?
Flying Squirrels meets or exceeds challenge course industry safety standards for all areas of operations including course design, construction and maintenance. Two expertly-trained Flight Officers are assigned to each group to ensure guest safety at all times. While on the platform you will be continuously connected to safety lines. 10. Where is Flying Squirrels located?
Flying Squirrels is located in a lush, tropical, evergreen forest near the idyllic mountain village of Pong Krai about an hours drive from Chiang Mai (add to favorites in Google Maps).

11. If I prefer to drive how do I get to your site?
Should you wish to skip our free shuttle service and make the drive in yourself, the following directions will get you there (if you have a cell data plan navigating with Google Maps is always best). Please note there is limited parking at the site. From Kuang Sing junction on the Super Highway take 107 North towards Mae Rim > Travel about 17 Km until Mae Sa junction > Turn left on 1096 West and drive for about 15KM (you will pass Mae Sa Waterfall, Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden etc.) > Go through the village of Pong Yaeng > Continue until you see the signs for 'Watershed Management Unit' and 'Flying Squirrels' on the right hand side > Turn right and travel for about 3KM > Follow the signs to the Flying Squirrels' office to arrive at The Paradise of EXTREME FUN lovers!

12. What do I need to bring?
• Prepaid vouchers and/or payment (CASH ONLY, credit cards not accepted at site)
• Cameras with straps (that can be worn around your neck)
• Bug repellent and sunscreen
• Your desire to soar higher and farther than ever before!

13. How long does a typical tour take?
Total time may vary depending on number of people in your group. Each tour tour is broken down as follows: 1) one hour drive from Chiang Mai; 2) 30 minutes upon arrival for orientation and gearing up; 3) 3 hours in the forest completing the course; 4) one hour for lunch (traditional Thai buffet) and chilling at our beautiful facility (you can even take a quick hot shower if you wish); 5) one hour drive back to location of choice in Chiang Mai.

14. What are the physical requirements for your tour?
Pretty well everyone can participate. Our course involves some easy to moderate physical activity with easy workarounds for obstacles if desired. Our tour is not recommended for for pregnant women or people with heart, back, hip or knee problems.

15. How much walking is involved?
Not much at all. Your adventure starts at our office where you hop in a four-wheel drive vehicle for a picturesque drive through the forest to the crest of the mountain. From there, you will head up a few stairs to the "launching pad". During the course there are a few, short jungle paths connecting some stations.

16. How should I dress?
Please wear shoes or hiking boots. Loose, comfortable clothing is recommended (pants or long shorts are best). Sandals are strongly discouraged and only permitted if they strap around the ankles. Flip flops are NOT allowed.

17. Will we encounter wildlife on our tour?
We have encountered many different varieties of animals, birds, insects, reptiles, and (of course) thousands of flying squirrels at our facilities. However, we cannot guarantee specific wildlife. If wildlife is your thing, you can always purchase a ticket to Tiger Kingdom or one of the many elephant sanctuaries around Chiang Mai.

18. Does your tour operate in the cold or rain?
We sure do. We’re out there rain or shine, hot or cold (cold is 20 degrees celsius in Northern Thailand). The only exceptions are extreme winds and torrential rain. Full refunds will be granted if any closures occur while visitors are on tour.

19. Is it possible to walk around and take pictures without going on the tour?
Those not participating are permitted to watch and take pictures on the first and last stations only (starting and finishing points). The reality is it's impossible to walk along the entire course because of the terrain and the number of deep ravines. For your safety we ask that you stay within all designated zones.

20. Do you donate zip line tours for fundraising events?
Yes. Flying Squirrels actively supports our community with donations for certain organizations and events. However, due to the high number of requests, we ask that all charitable enquiries be directed to: therez@treetopflight.com
