Safety Tips and Rules 


The Flying Squirrels zip line activity course is designed and operated with participant safety as our top priority. The course was engineered to meet or exceed all international safety standards by a group of international experts with a proven safety record.
 

Flying Squirrels Safety Operational Guidelines

  • All zipline cables and obstacle/challenge elements are inspected daily before any tours begin.
  • All safety equipment is inspected after each use.
  • Extensive course inspections and maintenance are completed on a scheduled basis.
  • Two Flight Officers accompany each group of maximum 9 riders.
  • All participants, including Flight Officers, wear safety equipment provided by Flying Squirrels.
  • Absolutely no personal equipment is allowed on the course.
  • Participants are secured with safety lines at all times on elevated platforms and obstacle/challenge elements.
  • All participants are connected to cables at two points of contact with safety lines, carabineers and pulleys.
  • Safety briefing and instructions are provided before each tour begins.
  • Visitors are required to strictly adhere to all written and spoken rules and to listen and follow to Flight Officer instructions to ensure a safe and fun trip.
 
Flying Squirrels has established the following restrictions to ensure the safety of all participants:
  • All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • The minimum weight is 20kg while a body weight of 110kg is the maximum.
  • Minimum age is 4 years (child must be at least 100cm tall)

Please contact Flying Squirrels with any concerns or questions about weight restrictions. Children weighing 20 KG and up are permitted but may need to ride tandem with a trained Flight Officer. Children are not permitted to ride tandem with a parent. All riders must be willing participants.
 

Physical Restrictions

This adventure is designed for persons in good physical condition. Pregnant women and individuals with existing injuries and/or seizure disorders are prohibited. Guests with current or re-occurring medical conditions that may comprimize the participant's safety should not take this tour.
 

Legal Restrictions

Completion of a Participant Agreement form is required. Relatives other than the actual parents or legal guardians cannot sign for a minor.
 

Communication

Participants must be able to understand and follow instructions in English.
 

Dress Code

Closed-toe shoes are required. NO FLIP FLOPS. Pants or long shorts are recommended. Shorts should cover the mid thigh area so the harness doesn't contact bare skin. Long hair must be tied back and all loose jewelry must be properly secured.
